So, one of my roommates came back to the apartment Tuesday with an
Air Hogs Havoc Heli RC helicopter….and it only took me five seconds of watching him play to know that I must have one. We drove straight to Wal-Mart and purchased an Air Hogs Aero Ace. Its a simple rechargeable RC airplane. The remote holds 6 AA batteries, and the plane itself recharges from a cable connected to the remote. Until midnight that night, we darted between cars and apartments with the the coolest toys on the planet. The airplane flies really well outside when there’s not much wind. The only trick is finding the right amount of throttle to keep the airplane from stalling. It takes about five minutes to get the hang of things. I’d forgotten how much fun just good toys could be.
And that’s not the only reason I’m in a good mood, it seems I’ve been featured on LifeHacker.com. A tutorial I wrote remained on the front page all yesterday. Not too shabby for my first tech post. I had a total of at least 1,700 unique hits yesterday. The site survived the hit, props to 1&1. I’ll keep more tech content coming, and I’m already in the middle of writing several new articles to host here. If you’re reading this in Facebook, you’re missing all the action. The feed sent to Facebook is only just the filtered “ Life” category I’m writing. So, if you’d like to see everything I’m doing, be sure to visit the full site a Nerdica.com.
